Lochcarron of Scotland
With the increasing evidence and recommendations that face masks provide protection in the reduction of transmission of the coronavirus, we are now offering Tartan face masks, all made by hand in Glasgow, Scotland. These masks have an outer layer of hypoallergenic polyviscose cloth and a breathable inner lining, with elastic straps, making them machine washable after each use.
The tartans in the dropdown menu are what is available at the moment. We will be adding more tartans so please keep checking. If there is a particular tartan you are looking for and you can do a bulk order (minimum 20 masks) please get in touch with us. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Delivery: Please note that the masks are in high demand and are manufactured and shipped from Scotland into our warehouse in upstate NY. We have shipments from Scotland once a week and currently you should expect to receive your masks 21-28 days after ordering. A tracking number will be allocated to you when your shipment passes through our warehouse in NY.
PLEASE NOTE: These face masks are not a replacement for medical grade Personal Protective Equipment. Where medical grade Personal Protective Equipment is recommended or required, you should consult a health care professional. The decision to use these masks is entirely your own.
The use of face masks is not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19, such as social distancing, washing your hands and refraining from touching your face. Follow the latest advice of the CDC and/or your own health care professionals as to how best to keep yourself safe.
Due to the intended use the masks are obviously non-returnable and non-refundable.
So far only used once, but fits and comfortable.
Would be nice to see additional tartan options.
Comfortable, pretty, and a nice shape, too.
Very good quality; well constructed. My Thompson men are sure to love them!
I ordered two of these in the MacQueen tartan back in June. Took awhile to arrive, which was fine. But they were too small. Pulled over my nose, they did not wrap my chin.
I wrote a review then (which never appeared on the website), saying what I just wrote above.
But, David, apparently the owner, emailed me about it and offered to send replacements. Those arrived and were exactly the same size as the originals.
So, I have paid for 2 masks, gotten 4 masks, and sent all 4 to my grandkids.
Seeing the comments about masks being too large, I can only conclude this is an issue in standardization.
I do not mind eating the cost. I do mind that my original review was apparently suppressed. We will see if this one is.
Not sure I will be doing business here again if it is suppressed.
Scottish Lion: Thanks for your review. This is David, and yes I am the owner of Scottish Lion. Sorry if you thought your original review was suppressed, I can assure you it was not, I was simply trying to see if we could resolve the issue with your masks and post the complete outcome. Clearly from this review I can see that we did not resolve it, and I apologize for that. The masks are made from a standard size pattern which obviously is not suitable for your own use. The fact that the replacements we sent you were still too small confirms that. We have sold thousands of masks and although they are not a perfect fit every time, we have had very few issues regarding sizing. I can assure you that all concluded reviews are posted on our site. On this occasion we have not met your expectations, but at least you were able to re-purpose them. I do thank you for the review and appreciate your comments. I am refunding you in full for the original masks. If you need to discuss further please feel free to email me at email@example.com
Many thanks again
We ordered two of the Royal Stewert face masks. One of masks has a small problem. But I called and the owner took the call and made the order right. His sincere wanting to help a customer was outstanding. Whatever my Scottish needs are, I am ordering from the Scottish Lion. Aye, Laddie...
We love the look, but the strap on my Isle of Skye mask broke already (where the elastic was sewn together). Also the Stewart (Black, not red) is a little small for my largest son. We really appreciate your store, though, and the fact that we can still get Scottish-themed products now that the Pleasanton Games were cancelled for the first time in 150 years! Keep up the good work.
Workmanship is nice and fits perfectly. I can proudly wear my clan colors.
It is a bit loose, but I sewed the elastic [to make it a little tighter]. The mask is perfect. I have received many compliments on both.
