Description

'Quaich' - from the gaelic cuach meaning 'cup'.

Shallow two-handled bowls such as these were used in Scotland from the 17th Centrury and drinking cups.

This Quaich features a curved Oak bowl, fitted with a cast Pewter band and lugs (handles). 

Finished on the bottom with cork.

Approx Diameter: 85mm, or 3" . Approx 140mm, or 5.5" handle to handle.
