The Auld Scotland Selkirk Tweed is a heavyweight fabric which is a green and brown based tartan with charcoal and brown overchecks. New for 2023, the Selkirk Tweed™ is made from 100% pure new wool and, 52% of the wool is of British origin. The Selkirk Tweed™ stock range comprises of nine classic tartans interpreted to reflect our natural environment and have been woven with a kilting selvedge. This quality is based on our premium Strome™ and is a beautiful addition to our stocked tartans.
This fabric can be made into kilts, jackets, clothing, soft furnishings, upholstery or even craft projects. It is made using 100% pure new wool at the Lochcarron mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
Designed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the National Bard, Robert Burns, this tartan was inspired by the modern version of his toast to the Haggis.
