The Patriot Loch Selkirk Tweed is a heavyweight fabric which is navy blue and black based tartan with grey and white overcheck. New for 2023, the Selkirk Tweed™ is made from 100% pure new wool and, 52% of the wool is of British origin. The Selkirk Tweed™ stock range comprises of nine classic tartans interpreted to reflect our natural environment and have been woven with a kilting selvedge. This quality is based on our premium Strome™ and is a beautiful addition to our stocked tartans.
This fabric can be made into kilts, jackets, clothing, soft furnishings, upholstery or even craft projects. It is made using 100% pure new wool at the Lochcarron mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
This Patriot tartan has been designed to appeal to those proud of their Scottish connections. Influenced by the Douglas tartans, as Sir James Douglas was considered to be the third Greatest Patriot, this tartan is a great choice for members of a wedding party wishing to support the groom without wearing a clan tartan.
