Bagpipe Masters Solos

Glasgow – August 11, 2014 – The Masters Solo Piping Competition started off a week of Livestream events from Piping Live!, this one featuring many of the top solo pipers in the world competing in piobaireachd and MSR contests, with the overall winner getting a place in this year’s Glenfiddich Championship. Besides the apparent strong uptake on free streaming video, the National Piping Centre boasted a full hall for the competition, with lots of well-known piping personalities in the audience. Stuart Liddell of Inveraray, Scotland, gained the overall award, and thus an invitation to the Glenfiddich.
